Another Sunday, Another Painting.

At school I'm currently exclusively devoting my time to doing line-art, and find little time or inspiration to actually paint during my off-hours. Consequently, I think I might be regressing! Trying to get one of these done a week at least with one day to recouperate at the moment.
I'm not complaining, school is some of the best fun I've ever had (and extremely enlightening!), but I think it'll be a while before I can make one of these again in decent time without too much frustration!

HAPPY FACE... ENGAGE!

Did this while nursing a hangover after two days of midsummer celebrations. Interesting experience!
(180 minutes on the 27th of June)
And... yeah, that's all, folks!

Aaaah, a day off! What to do, what to do...

The sun is shining outside, birds are singing... What to do with this gorgeous summer day?
Well, sit inside and paint, of course!

Painted on the 20th of June. 150(!) minutes.

Quick update!

I got a green light from the father of this little cutie to post her portait on my blog! 200 minutes in the making and pretty much as photo-real as I think I'm going to get at this point without drawing individual hairs and pores. Very proud of how this image looks printed as well.

Anyway that's it for me! KISSES AND HUGS TO YALL

Another Birthday already?!

Mine this time, and to celebrate I'll UPDATE THE BLOG! WOO!
Yeah bet you can hardly contain your excitement..

Anyway, I'll be busy tomorrow and after that school will probably really take off so this will probably be the last update in a while. Still, hopefully there's something good in it and hopefully you can tell me what to do BETTER!

Serious bloke is serious. June 7th, 90 minutes.

Bloke who doesn't know where the camera is, is dignified. June 8th, 120 minutes.

Other bloke with no idea of camera location is also present. June 9th, 100 minutes.

Historical fellow mourns that cameras have not yet been invented. Sad face. June 10th, 100 minutes.

Thanks for looking!

In memoriams and a fond Happy Birthday!

Right, this might well be the last update for a few months since school starts next week and I am expecting a LOT of work there! We'll see, though.
Anywho, May saw a lot of celebrities leave us, so I thought perhaps it'd be a good exercise to paint faces that people would actually recognize. Naturally, this made it take way longer for me, but I'm still fairly sure the images qualify as value studies/speedpaints!
So, first off;

Ronnie James Dio (1942-07-10 - 2010-05-16). Took a good 180 minutes! Don't know what went wrong, really. Painted on May 31st.

Gary Coleman (1968-02-08 - 2010-05-28). Painted in 120 minutes on June 1st.

Dennis Hopper (1936-05-17 - 2010-05-29). Painted in 120 minutes on June 2nd.

And the king of cool CLINT EASTWOOD! 80 years old and still awesome to the MAX. (110 minutes, June 3rd)

Yeah he's so cool I painted him twice. Big woop, wanna fight about it? (120 minutes, June 4th)

All the best,
